About Me

My name is Sylvi (they/them) I am a professional astrologer based primarily out of occupied Coos and Siuslaw land in so-called Oregon.  I have been studying astrology for over 10 years under many different teachers, and practicing professionally for 3. My work involves both modern and traditional techniques, and is heavily focused on uncovering the historic roots of what is often incorrectly referred to as ‘Western’ horoscopic astrology.

I came to astrology amidst a path to reconnect with nature and wild places. I was humbled by the realization that I could not expect to find my place within an ecosystem on the ground while ignoring my connection to sky. This work is unending, but the process has been tremendously healing in my life, far beyond what I could have imagined. It has become my life’s work to make these tools as accessible as possible to all who may benefit from them as I have. I believe, when wielded with intention, astrology has the power to be much more than a novelty, pop-culture trend co-opted to feed the narrative of capitalism. Rather, astrology can be used as a powerful catalyst for radical change in our communities.

Outside my standard consultation practice, I am passionate about using art, comedy, and ever-evolving dialogue to disseminate what knowledge I have, and to create more awareness around horoscopic astrology’s history as it continues to re-surface. Consider this page an open invite not only to work with me, but to participate in the on-going conversation about how this doctrine might be revised and implemented to better serve those who need it most, especially those who it has historically been largely inaccessible to. I look forward to meeting you!
